DEV'S NOTE: We're aware of issues with the ProtoWeb proxy with pages that exist on both ProtoWeb and the Public web. We're looking into fixes, but we haven't had much luck yet. Until we do, you will likely experience issues with those pages. We apologize and hope to see it fixed soon.
ProtoWeb is a service which allows you to view manually restored websites from the 90s/2000s. With
WebTV Redialed, you can take full advantage of this service on your TV.
To access a ProtoWeb site, open the go to panel, and erase all the text in it. Next, type "proto://"
followed by the URL of the site you want to visit (don't forget the "www" at the start). Your URL should look something like this: "proto://www.webtv.net".
If you don't know the URL of any sites, you can also visit the ProtoWeb Directory at www.inode.com.
