ProtoWeb is a service which allows you to view manually restored websites from the 90s/2000s. With WebTV Redialed, you can take full advantage of this service on your TV.

To access a ProtoWeb site, open the go to panel, and erase all the text in it. Next, type "proto://" followed by the URL of the site you want to visit (don't forget the "www" at the start). Your URL should look something like this: "proto://www.webtv.net".

If you don't know the URL of any sites, you can also visit the ProtoWeb Directory at www.inode.com.
